“Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think”
Einstein’s answer to one of Thomas Edison’s questions that he was once asked to answer during his stay at the Hotel Copley Plaza, Boston; “What is the speed of sound?” was “I don’t know.” He further added that he did not want to burden his mind with those facts that he could easily find in textbooks. He remarked that for a person to learn facts, he need not be a graduate. All he needs is a textbook.
