Inheritance and evolution of characters from our ancestors
Generally, characters expressed in the parents are also seen in their children. Characters are inherited from parents to offsprings. These inherited characters change over time with respect to various environmental factors such as temperature, geography, etc. Due to this, although we see many varieties of the same kind we often forget that we all share common ancestors who once existed on Earth. E.g. Ape and man have originated from the same ancestors even though they look different in appearance. Evolution of one species from an organism does not mean the death of that organism from which the new species evolved. The fact that apes are around even though they gave rise to man is evidence of this statement.
